SUSTAINABLE PHILOSOPHY

REDEFINING ECO-LUXE, BECAUSE YOU AND THE PLANET DESERVE MORE

When we started Dapo Swim, our first goal was to create high-quality suits that made our customers, the environment, and the community happy. Our commitment to sustainability is all encompassing. We use recycled materials and a conscious production model that ensures ethical labor and zero-waste. However, that wasn’t enough for us. We understand that you might have too much clothes and yet you still can’t seem to stop shopping altogether. That’s why we created a closed-looped system: to give you a guilt-free, responsible relationship to your swimwear. Although wearing what you already have is the most sustainable consumption, we also understand that realistically people are imperfectly sustainable. So get the new suit you really want, return the old one, and we’ll recycle it for you! That is our promise to you, and that’s our closed-loop system.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY, CLOSED-LOOP SYSTEM

ZERO WASTE

OUR FABRICS

Dapo Swim proudly makes every suit from recycled and sustainable fabrics. As the environment is always at the forefront of our minds, we ensure that all fabrics are made from recycled plastic to divert ocean and landfill waste. All suits are made from soft, high quality Vita by Carvico fabric, which is made of a ECONYL® regenerated nylon. All suits’ fabrics are 78% Recycled Nylon, 22% Lycra.

CONSCIOUS PRODUCTION & DESIGN

We are proud to design and hand make our pieces here in California. We cut and sew all styles in house and work with local trim vendors to reduce CO2 emissions. Styles are meticulously designed to minimize waste.

MADE TO ORDER

All suits are made once an order is placed. This means that no suits or extra stock are going to be wasted or are unwanted. All Dapo suits were specially made to be loved for someone specific. Although made-to-order production results in longer turnaround time, we believe that having zero-waste from inventory is important. Slow fashion takes time, but it’s worth it!
